The
Line-up
Full
Circle is a complete departure from any other show
that Terrafolk has ever done before and so it was
felt that a specialist line-up would be needed. It can be
said that the music for Full Circle is different from the normal Terrafolk
repertoire and almost the same!
As
the music contains elements of Terrafolk, Terra
Mystica (Mystica's main band before forming Terrafolk)
and other projects such as Terrafolk's Symbolic
Orchestra and Mystica and the Space Doctors (Mystica's
side-project), this specialist line-up reflects the needs
of Full Circle's live soundtrack.
The
line-up is:
Una
Palliser
- violin, vocals
Irish-born,
London-based Una Palliser works as a violist, violinist
and vocalist. She won a scholarship to study at the Royal
Academy of Music in London, and graduated with a First
Class Honours Degree in Performance. She has toured with
Take That, Amy Winehouse, Patrick Wolf and Gnarls Barkley
and performed as part of Terrafolk's Symbolic Orchestra at
the Musical September festival in Maribor, Slovenia
Marko
Hatlak - accordion, vocals, drums
Marko
Hatlak has just completed his post-graduate studies in
Germany. He has performed as a guest artist with the
Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, regularly performs solo
concerts for accordion and is recognised as one of the
most promising and talented young musicians in Slovenia.
Marko has toured all over Europe with Terrafolk and his
contributions on accordion, vocals and frenetic drumming
are a visual, as well as an aural, treat.
Not
only is Mystica the guitarist in Terrafolk, but he is
also the principal composer of most of the songs in the
Full Circle soundtrack. His inspirations come from prog-rock
as well as Celtic, Balkan and Gypsy music.
Tigor
- Korg, keyboards, effects
Tigor
is a classical pianist, with a number of degrees to his
name (BMus Academy of Music Ljubljana, PGADip Trinity
College of Music, MMus TCM). In addition to his
classical calling he has chosen to diversify and is also
a keyboard player in an organic funk-jazz collective, a
producer and general contributer to the funk, broken,
drum.n.bass and hip hop scene. His career as a pianist
has included solo and chamber music concerts throughout
Slovenia
,
Croatia
,
Italy
,
Spain
,
Great Britain
and solo performances with TCM's Contemporary Music
Group, Orchestra Sinfonica Adriatica and the Slovene
Philharmonic Orchestra.
